The approximately 160 members of the Tobacco Plains Indian Band are governed by a democratically elected Chief and Council. It is the role of Nasukin and four Councillors to ensure that fair, effective, and transparent programs and services are made available to members for the betterment and development of a healthy and sustainable Tobacco Plains Indian Band.

Chief and Council are guided by the Tobacco Plains Indian Band Strategic Plan, and endeavour to improve the health, safety, and well-being of Band members, the community, and the Tobacco Plains Indian Band in all that we do.
